Barcelona close in on Borussia Dortmund’s Ousmane Dembélé

Ousmane Dembélé is close to agreeing terms with Barcelona, according to Bilel Ghazi of L’Equipe. Real Madrid are also interested, whilst the Frenchman prefers the Catalan side.

The Spanish club aren’t short of money following the transfer of Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain in a record €222 million deal. Following the reports in France, Bild are reporting that the Spanish club will need to offer at least €100m for Dembélé, who joined the club just last summer.

Just days ago, the 20-year-old told Bild that he was happy in Dortmund and that he’s not interested in speculation however, now the sale of Neymar has gone through, it’s a whole new ballgame.

“I’m not interested in speculation at all. I’m happy in Dortmund. I made a conscious decision to come to this club after my time at Stade Rennes. I want to win the Champions League, I’d like to win the World Cup with France and obviously I want to win more titles with BVB,” says Dembélé.
