Reports in Spain are claiming Schalke have already completed the signing of Sevilla’s Ukrainian winger Yevhen Konoplyanka.
Diario of Sevilla have stated yesterday that the deal has been completed for in excess of 20 million Euro, and only an official confirmation from The Royal Blues is missing.
The initial transfer is expected to be a loan deal with an obligation to buy the following season. The player has confirmed that his wish is to leave Sevilla this summer: “Sevilla has promised me a change, I am currently working on it”, he told Diario of Sevilla.
The highly rated winger is seen as a replacement for Leroy Sane, who signed for Manchester City in a 50 million Euro transfer this summer.
Schalke have already brought Sevilla’s former defender, Coke to The Veltins Arena this summer, who unfortunately suffered a ligament injury in pre-season. Konoplyanka made 32 appearances last season with Sevilla in La Liga and created 34 chances, with 4 assists and 4 goals.
