Takuma Asano’s declaration of love towards VfB Stuttgart supporters

Arsenal loanee Takuma Asano has revealed that he is enjoying life at his temporary club VfB Stuttgart but has also admitted that joining the 2. Bundesliga side was a tough decision.

“I feel so fortunate that as a footballer, I have got a chance to play in front of such an enthusiastic crowd week in week out at such an early stage of my career.

“Even though we are in the second division it’s quite incredible that still so many fans come to the stadium to cheer us every week. I have never played in front of such passionate supporters before, not even in the J-League!” Asano told Echo24.de when asked about his experience so far with VfB Stuttgart.

Asano has admitted that when he was told by Arsenal that he would be spending a season on loan at a second division German club he wasn’t too excited at first but after eventually joining VfB he was pleasantly surprised: “Of course, I did not like the decision at first, but now I have seen that this team play at a very high level in a very competitive league.”

After a slow start to the campaign Asano has started to show his potential at Stuttgart. His blistering pace and quick witted movement off the ball has helped the team enormously.

For the Japanese international.one thing is most important: “I hope that I can develop here at VfB Stuttgart.” he says.
With so many passionate fans to back him every week that should definitely be feasible.
