New York Red Bulls have completed the loan signing of Leipzig and Israel striker Omer Damari, pending the approval of the 27-year-old’s visa.
Damari joined Leipzig in January 2015 from Austria Vienna, before spending the whole of last season on loan at Red Bull Salzburg, where he scored four goals in 16 appearances.
“We follow a lot of Red Bull-associated clubs pretty closely, so we’ve gotten to see him play on a number of occasions, and we think he can add a lot of quality to what we’re doing in the final third,” said New York sporting director Ali Curtis.
