Matthias Sammer rules out VfL Wolfsburg job

After resigning from his sporting director role at Bayern Munich in pre-season due to health reasons, Matthias Sammer has told Sächsischen Zeitung he doesn’t plan on returning just yet.

Sammer has been linked with the vacant role at Wolfsburg following the departure of Klaus Allofs, whilst Galatasaray are also said to be interested.

“Seven days a week and 24 hours a day with all my energy to the club, I do not want to meet these tasks at the moment,” said Sammer.

SportBild have however reported that Sammer will return to a job in summer 2017.
