Leonardo Bittencourt will undergo surgery on his left ankle after suffering torn ligaments, which could see the Cologne midfielder out for some time.
The injury came about during Monday’s training session, when the 22-year-old clashed with defender Luke Klünter.
Whilst the club haven’t put a date on his return, he could be out for a number of weeks.
