FC Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has had his say on the upcoming season in this afternoon’s press conference.
He spoke glowingly about his team’s new signings and also looks forward to continuing the rivalry with Borussia Dortmund at the Supercup next weekend.
“Mats is the sort of defender we wanted to sign. We’re happy that he’s back here. We really wanted to sign [Renato Sanches]. He was a player on our radar long before Euro 2016. We have a good mix of experienced heads and young, talented players here. We have a good relationship with [Borussia Dortmund], one which helps German football.”
