FC Augsburg have wasted no time in replacing the recently departed Alexander Esswein by signing winger Jonathan Schmid from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim for an undisclosed fee.
The 26 year old has signed a contract that will tie him to the club until the summer of 2020.
