Everton have made an ambitious approach to sign Julian Draxler from VfL Wolfsburg, according to The Independent.
The 22 year old revealed his desire to leave Wolfsburg for a top European club on Wednesday. Wolfsburg have since released a statement, clarifying that the Germany international is not for sale this summer.
Draxler’s preference for a top European club and Wolfsburg’s asking price for the player could make Everton outsiders in the race to sign him. However, strengthened by huge funding from new owner Farhad Moshiri, the Toffees are reportedly determined to try their hand at bringing the former Schalke man to the Goodison Park.
