Bayern return for Schweinsteiger?

Bastian Schweinsteiger has had an injury plagued Manchester United career so far. If recent reports are to be believed, then Schweinsteiger does not feature in new Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho’s plans for the upcoming season and has been told to train with the reserves until he finds himself a new club.

So far Milan have expressed a desire to bring the 32 year old to the San Siro but there is also a potential return to Bayern Munich on the cards.

According to Sport Bild, everyone at Bayern would welcome the former German national team captain back at the club with open arms.

When asked about Schweinsteiger’s potential return to Bayern, club captain Phillip Lahm responded: “It is important to involve players that deserve to be at Bayern.

A man like Schweinsteiger was predestined to work in the here, he knows everything and everyone.”

Even club chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge would be comfortable with Schweinsteiger’s return,
he said: “Should Bastian speak in the near future at some point the desire to return to the club, then we will discuss with him.”

Bastian Schweinsteiger is contracted to Manchester United until 2018.
