In an exclusive Guardian report, it has emerged that Sam Allardyce has already been dealt his first blow as England manager as his approach for Bayern Munich’s assistant manager, Paul Clement, has been turned down.
The Bayern assistant coach worked with Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid, and it now looks as though the duo will be working together for the coming 2016/17 Bundesliga season.
