This afternoon, Bayer Leverkusen signed Austria international Aleksandar Dragović from Dynamo Kiev. A 25-year-old central defender, Dragović joins for a fee of €18 million.
Manager Roger Schmidt will be happy about adding defensive depth to his squad.
Capped 49 times for his country, Dragović made two appearances at the European Championships this summer in France.
Dragović’s five-year contract runs through the end of the 2020-21 season, meaning he could be a mainstay of the Workself defence for the foreseeable future.
