Arsenal agree personal terms with Shkodran Mustafi – the latest

Arsenal have agreed personal terms with German international Shkodran Mustafi regarding a move to the Premier League club, according to Sky Sports Germany.

Mustafi’s agent Ali Bulut said: “Shkodran and Arsenal have reached an agreement, the clubs now only have to agree on the fee,”

Arsenal are believed to have made a bid in excess of €30million for Mustafi and they will hold further talks with Valencia to finalize the deal as quickly as possible.

Arsenal had been on the lookout for a central defender ever since Per Mertesacker was ruled out for several months following a knee surgery and their injury crisis worsened when Brazilian defender Gabriel was also ruled out for 6 to 8 weeks following an ankle sprain.

Bulut was quoted as saying the above to Spox, however, Kicker have since reported that the quotes were false, and instead Mustafi’s agent said the following.

“There are discussions, but there is no agreement – neither between Arsenal and Mustafi, or between Valencia and Arsenal.”

The Guardian later reported that both Arsenal and Valencia don’t believe Bulut to be Mustafi’s official agent, whilst his dad is reported to be his real agent, according to the Spanish club.
