Following his €5 million arrival to Hamburger SV from Barcelona, Alen Halilovic is not guaranteed to start, according to coach Bruno Labbadia.
“It was crucial that he didn’t join with expectations ‘I’m from Barcelona, I have to be a starter instantly,” Labbadia told Bild.
“Halilovic is a talent just like Luca Waldschmidt. It’s no difference if somebody comes from Frankfurt or Barcelona.”
The Croatia international signed a four-year contract with the club.
