Wolfsburg reject Stuttgart’s opening bid for Dženan Pejčinović

VfB Stuttgart have seen their opening offer to sign VfL Wolfsburg’s Dženan Pejčinović (21), according to a report from Felix Arnold.

The Swabian club, looking to strengthen their attack ahead of a UEFA Champions League campaign, opened their bidding at €18m including bonuses, which was subsequently rejected by the now 2. Bundesliga club, who want a reported €25m.

Pejčinović, who scored eight goals in 30 Bundesliga games in 2025/26, was unable to prevent Wolfsburg’s relegation despite scoring in the play-off against Paderborn. Additionally, the German youth international wants to join the Champions League participants but if VfB are unable to find an agreement quickly, they’ll be forced to turn their attention elsewhere. Sky Germany understands that Stuttgart have already started looking at other targets, namely Hoffenheim’s Fisnik Asllani – who’s also wanted by Borussia Dortmund.

Whether Stuttgart go in with a new and improved offer remains to be seen.
