Luca Reggiani and Kauã Prates among Borussia Dortmund players poised for Fulham clash

Borussia Dortmund’s U21 team will face Fulham’s U21 team on Wednesday evening in the Premier League International Cup. Among those named in BVB’s squad, is notably Luca Reggiani, who broke into Die Schwarzgelben’s first team towards the end of 2025/26.

Reggiani, who started last season in the U19 league, also featured in the UEFA Youth League before becoming a regular in Niko Kovac’s side towards the end of the season. The 18-year-old Italian defender played 513 minutes across eight Bundesliga games, and also completed a full 90 minutes in the UEFA Champions League, featuring in their 2-0 victory over Serie A outfit Atalanta.

In addition to Reggiani, Ruhr Nachrichten report that Justin Lerma, Kauã Prates and Mathis Albert will also bolster Daniel Rios’ U21 squad. Additionally, all four are expected to start against Fulham, while a good performance here could make a case for them being in Dortmund’s first team. Particularly Reggiani, who is fighting for his long-term future, with Filippo Mane seemingly ahead of his compatriot in the pecking order.
