Merlin Röhl has joined Everton on a permanent deal from Freiburg for a reported €25m after spending last season at The Toffees on loan.
Having joined Freiburg from Ingolstadt in 2022 for €2.9m, Röhl spent three seasons in the Bundesliga, making a total of 48 appearances before his loan move to the Premier League, where he managed to impress under David Moyes.
In their statement after the deal, Everton confirmed that Röhl has signed a three-year contract that will keep him at Hill Dickinson until June 2029.
