Ellyes Skhiri among four Eintracht Frankfurt players free to negotiate their departure

Eintracht Frankfurt’s own website confirms that Tunisian midfielder/centre-back Ellyes Skhiri is among four players not scheduled to report to club training camp. Skhiri’s impending departure from the SGE has long been common knowledge. Köln’s Geissblog fan site reports that the 31-year-old’s chances of returning to his old club 1. FC Köln are increasing.

In addition to the Tunisian, three attackers are also absent from Frankfurt’s training camp. Michy Batshuayi, Noel Futkeu and Jessic Ngankam are reportedly expected to leave the club, despite Frankfurt not commenting publicly on their situations. Sport Bild claims that all four players are free to negotiate their SGE departure.

World Cup participants Farés Chaibi (Algeria), Arthur Theate (Belgium), Elye Wahi (Cote d’Ivoire) and Ayoube Amaimouni-Echghouyab (Morocco) remain on special leave.

Several U21 and U19 prospects have consequently been given opportunities to train with the senior squad during the club’s preparations at Lake Chiemsee.
