After two years at VfB Stuttgart, Alexander Nübel will return to Bayern Munich following a successful loan spell but with Jonas Urbig second to Manuel Neuer and his heir to the No.1 jersey, a likely departure awaits for Nübel.
According to Florian Plettenberg, Beşiktaş are in talks with Nübel’s representatives and Bayern, who want well above €10m for the 29-year-old – who kept 11 clean sheets in 34 Bundesliga games in 2025/26 for Stuttgart – with Bild adding that Germany’s record champions are looking for a fee between €10m and €15m.
However, Nübel doesn’t appear to favour a move to Beşiktaş, with Plettenberg mentioning that the goalkeeper has several options. Last month, it was reported that both Manchester City and Juventus were among the clubs interested in signing Nübel with talks initiated with the player’s entourage. However, Nübel’s reported €11m salary could prove an obstacle.
