Bayern Munich’s David Santos Daiber suffers injury setback

David Santos Daiber (19) made his Bayern Munich debut in December 2025 and has since played two games in Germany’s top flight under Vincent Kompany, but the young midfielder has suffered a setback in his development.

BILD report that Daiber has suffered a setback with his thigh injury and is sidelined for at least three more months, meaning that he won’t be an option for Kompany for their pre-season training ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

It’s a huge blow for the youngster, who has only just completed two months of rehabilitation and was expected to make his return imminently.

Bayern Munich’s injury woes

Daiber isn’t the only Bayern academy graduate currently sidelined. Wisdom Mike, who has made five first team appearances, has been sidelined since mid-March after undergoing surgery on his hip. Additionally, Maycon Cardozo, Erblin Osmani and Guido Della Rovere are all sidelined.
