According to Sky Germany, Stuttgart are closing in on a deal to sign Chelsea midfielder Omari Hutchinson.
It is understood that Hutchinson was in attendance for Die Schwaben when they overcame Borussia Mönchengladbach 4-0 on the last day of the season. As well as this, the 20-year-old was said to be impressed by the club, the fans, and the atmosphere.
As per the report, Stuttgart are looking to sign Hutchinson on a season-long loan ahead of their first year back in the Champions League. Talks with Chelsea are well advanced, and it is expected that the move will become complete.
Last season, Hutchinson inspired Ipswich Town to promotion to the Premier League, just one season after the club were plying their trade in the third tier of English football. With ten goals and six assists while on loan at Portman Road, there is little wonder as to why he is becoming so sought after this summer.
Therefore, Stuttgart still face competition for his signature. Borussia Mönchengladbach are one of the sides looking to prize the Jamaican international away from Stamford Bridge, but the guarantee of Champions League football at Stuttgart will undeniably play a significant role in any deal.
