Serhou Guirassy and Deniz Undav return for Stuttgart

Positive news for Stuttgart fans. Serhou Guirassy and Deniz Undav both returned to team training on Wednesday after they were both substituted in VfB’s 2-0 win against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.

The duo are responsible for 41 of Stuttgart’s goals this season, which is the reason that they’re level points with second-placed Bayern Munich on 63, with five games remaining. The fact that they’ve already secured European football for next season is a credit to Guirassy and Undav under Sebastian Hoeneß.

Both were pictured on the bench with a knee and thigh bandaged, which caused concern for Stuttgart. But after a detailed examination, no structural damage was found with the duo returning to training.

However when it comes to Alexander Nübel, there’s question marks as to whether the German will be fit for Sunday’s game against Werder Bremen. Kicker report that the 27-year-old spent the day in the gym, and has been suffering with muscular problems since VfB’s win at Borussia Dortmund on matchday 28.

Fabian Bredlow deputised for Nübel against Eintracht and if the latter isn’t fit, Bredlow will again start on Sunday.
