Bayer Leverkusen will be looking to maintain their four point lead at the top of the table as they face a tricky test away to RB Leipzig on Saturday.
RB Leipzig have had an impressive home record this season but were left frustrated last Saturday when they lost 1-0 at home to Eintracht Frankfurt. It was their first home defeat since Manchester City won 3-1 against them in the Champions League group stage in October.
It was also their first loss at home in the Bundesliga since April when they lost 3-0 to Mainz.
Marco Rose’s side currently sit in fourth place with Borussia Dortmund three points behind them and looking to gain a Champions League spot.
Bayer Leverkusen enter the game four points clear of Bayern Munich at the top having won their last three Bundesliga games in a row, scoring eight goals.
They are also the side with the least number of goals conceded with just 12 in 17 games.
They will have to be solid at the back for this fixture though as RB Leipzig are the third highest scorers in the league with 38 in 17 games and are also ranked third for shots taken with 273.
RB Leipzig will continue to be without Willi Orban due to a knee injury. Amadou Haidara will also be missing due to being on international duty with Mali at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Dani Olmo may be pushing for a start as he made his first appearance for the club since the end of October last week against Frankfurt, when he came on as a substitute.
For Bayer Leverkusen, they will be without top scorer Victor Boniface as he is currently suffering with a groin injury.
They will also be without Arthur who has a thigh injury.
Edmond Tapsoba, Odilon Kossounou and Amine Adil are all also at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Florian Wirtz will be pushing to start the game as he came on as a substitute for 30 minutes against Augsburg last week.
