Predicted Bayern Munich XI vs FC Köln: Thomas Tuchel to make several changes

Thomas Tuchel is expected to rest one or two players, as well as experiment, when his Bayern Munich side host FC Köln at the Allianz Arena on Saturday afternoon. Kick-off at 15:30 local time.

With Alphonso Davies suspended for the second-leg against Arsenal in the Champions League on Tuesday, Tuchel is likely to experiment. One option would be Noussair Mazraoui after the Moroccan’s return from injury. Another option would be to play Raphael Guerreiro at left-back but if Tuchel rests Konrad Laimer ahead of their midweek game as expected, Guerreiro will likely start in midfield with Aleksandar Pavlovic an option from the bench following the player’s recent return.

Jamal Musiala is also expected to be rested and with Leroy Sané and Serge Gnabry both sidelined, Kingsley Coman, Thomas Müller and Mathys Tel should all come in.

Defensively, Matthijs de Ligt and Eric Dier should both retain their places, but Dayot Upamecano and Kim Min-jae remain central options, despite their horror show against Heidenheim in the Bundesliga last weekend.

Predicted Bayern Munich XI vs FC Köln

Manuel Neuer – Joshua Kimmich, Matthijs de Ligt, Eric Dier, Noussair Mazraoui – Leon Goretzka, Raphael Guerreiro – Kingsley Coman, Thomas Müller, Mathys Tel – Harry Kane.
