Manchester United to sell Donny van de Beek this summer

Manchester United are expected to sell Donney van de Beek this summer, according to Christopher Michel.

The Dutchman arrived at Eintracht Frankfurt on loan in the winter, and there was much optimism and excitement around the signing. It was seen as a fresh start for van de Beek,  personally, and an opportunity to get back to playing regular football in the Bundesliga.

However, head coach Dino Toppmöller is clearly working without the 26-year-old midfielder. In the past five matches, Van de Beek has only played a total of 18 minutes. In fact, during the last two matchdays, the midfielder hasn’t played a single minute.

It’s clear that Frankfurt will not activate the option-to-buy clause within van de Beek’s loan agreement.

When he arrives back in Manchester this summer, the club will hope to move him on perminatley. The Red Devils would also be willing to accept a lower transfer fee in order to get him off the wage list.
