Jan-Niklas Beste and Aleksander Pavlovic candidates for a call up to the German national team

Sky Germany reports that both Heidenheim’s Jan-Niklas Beste and Aleksander Pavlovic are both candidates to be called up to the German national team ahead of the March international break.

Beste has already held a conversation with Nagelsmann and the Bundestrainer has continued to gather information on the Heidenheim midfielder. In his first Bundesliga season, Beste has scored seven and assisted eight with Heidenheim currently sitting 11th in the league.

Bayern Munich’s Pavlovic is another candidate. Nagelsmann had originally planned not to call up the 19 year old but he is apparently reconsidering his decision. The plan was for Pavlovic to be called up to the under-21s but due to Serbia pushing for Pavlovic and the midfielder’s performances for Bayern, the plan is seemingly changing.

The pair could potentially join Deniz Undav in the squad for friendlies against France and the Netherlands with the Stuttgart striker expected to earn his maiden call up to the national team.
