Harry Kane ready for difficult Arsenal test

Bayern Munich will look to book their place in the Champions League semi-final tomorrow night when they host Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal at the Allianz Arena with the tie leveled at 2-2.

Harry Kane put Bayern Munich in a 2-1 lead at the Emirates last week but Leandro Trossard equalised for the Gunners in the final minutes. Formerly of Tottenham, Kane has 15 goals in 20 games against Arsenal, but he has played down the significance of his record against Spurs’ North London rivals.

Speaking to media ahead of tomorrow’s clash, Kane said: “It’s being hyped up a bit. They were always special matches in the Premier League. But I’m focusing on the game tomorrow.”

Conceding the Bundesliga title to Bayer Leverkusen, ending their 11-year dominance and out of this season’s DFB Pokal, the Champions League remains Bayern’s only opportunity to finish the season with a trophy.

On tomorrow’s game, Kane added: “We haven’t reached our level. I want to help the team, whether in the Champions League or in the league. We have a great opportunity here in our Arena tomorrow. We want to achieve something big. Personally, I want to help the team and score goals.”
