According to Ruhr Nachrichten, a departure for Borussia Dortmund attacker Giovanni Reyna could happen as early as this week.
Due to the arrival of Jadon Sancho as well as several poor performances this season, Reyna has dropped down the pecking order at Dortmund and has had to deal with minimal minutes off of the bench. This has pushed the 21-year-old to look at other options this winter.
A move could be forced this week as Reyna’s new agent Jorge Mendes has already offered the American to nine clubs including Real Sociedad, Sevilla and Benfica but no club has shown concrete interest in Reyna. In the event of a departure for the American, Dortmund will not try to sign a replacement.
Last season, Reyna did score some crucial goals as Dortmund stayed in the title race until the final day of the season but since joining the club the 21-year-old has never been able to establish himself and deliver on the promise that came with him.
