Germany interested in hosting the UEFA Nations League finals with Stuttgart and Munich favourties

Sky Germany reports that the DFB are interested in hosting the Nations League Finals next summer if Germany makes it to the semi-finals.

The host for the finals is usually selected from one of the four semi-finalists. The first iteration of the Nations League finals was held in the Netherlands while the second was held in Italy. Germany are currently top of their group and will be in the quarter-finals which will take place in March if they finish in the top two.

The two cities out of nine locations that are currently favourites to host the final and semi-finals, if Germany are selected, are Stuttgart and Munich. The MHP Arena in Stuttgart will host one semi-final while the Allianz Arena will host the other semi-final and the final.

However, what may work against the DFB is the fact that just last summer they hosted EURO 2024 and a few weeks before the Nations League, the Allianz will also host this season’s Champions League final.

A decision is expected to be made this month after the teams have qualified for the quarter-finals.
