Every Bundesliga player travelling to the Africa Cup of Nations and Asia Cup

The Africa Cup of Nations and the Asia Cup begin in the new year and with players throughout the Bundesliga travelling to the competitions, here at GGFN we have compiled a list of every player that will be travelling from each club.

From the list below, league leaders Bayer Leverkusen are the team most affected by the departures with three key players Victor Boniface, Odilon Kossounou and Edmond Tapsoba leaving during a period where they have important games against RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich in the league and a quarter-final against VfB Stuttgart in the DFB Pokal.

Stuttgart are also affected by AFCON with star striker Sehrou Guirassy leaving with Guinea, and key squad players at VfB are also departing. Frankfurt have also lost key midfield in Ellyes Skhiri and Fàres Chaïbi whilst their main striker Omar Marmoush also departs.

The teams currently in the relegation zone are not greatly affected by either competition with Mainz the only team losing a player.
