Eren Dinkci to join SC Freiburg in the summer with Patrick Osterhage potentially following soon

Sky Germany reports that SC Freiburg are set to complete the signing of Werder Bremen forward Eren Dinkci who will join the club in the summer.

Dinkci’s release clause is said to be around €5m and he will sign a long-term contract at the Schwarzwald club. An announcement for the deal could arrive as early as today.

This season, Dinkci has been on loan at newcomers Heidenheim and has been one of their standout players. Scoring eight and assisting three in 26 games. His form has attracted the interest of the Turkish national team and member of the FA Hamit Altintop is pushing for the forward to be called up to the international team.

Dinkci may not be the only new arrival at Freiburg as kicker reports that Bochum midfielder Patrick Osterhage is also of interest to Freiburg. The midfielder is of interest as a replacement for Yannik Keitel who is likely to join VfB Stuttgart upon the expiry of his contract in the summer. Osterhage will be able to play as backup to Nicolas Höfler and Maximilian Eggestein who have been the undisputed midfield duo under Christain Streich for several seasons now.
