Sport Bild reports that several members of the Bayern Munich supervisory board are in favour of Hansi Flick returning to Bayern as head coach.
Despite his opinion of the former manager, Bayern’s unofficial supremo Uli Hoeneß will not stand in the way of a potential return for Flick. The pair have also previously had a conversation that clarified their relationship. Flick himself is ready for a new challenge at a club
During his previous tenure at the club, Flick led Bayern to a treble in 2020 but left the club in 2021 due to a poor relationship with former Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić.
However, as things stand Thomas Tuchel will remain in charge at Bayern despite the disarray surrounding the club after their convincing 3-0 loss to Bayer Leverkusen at the weekend. It has previously been reported by Sport Bild (via @iMiaSanMia) that Bayern are to wait until deciding on Tuchel’s future for when Max Eberl can join the board in March, as well as in the summer to fully assess the situation.
