Union Berlin interested in bringing in Arijanet Muric on loan from Burnley

Sky Germany reports that Union Berlin are interested in bringing Burnley goalkeeper Arijanet Muric on loan in the winter.

Muric is currently second in the Burnley pecking order behind summer signing James Trafford and was a key piece in Burnley’s promotion last season.

Union would be interested in bringing Muric in on loan with an option to buy in the winter. In what role Muric would play is currently unknown, it is possible that he would be brought in to challenge Frederik Rønnow who has struggled in the first two months of the season. While backup goalkeeper Alexander Schwolow has shown that he has not been at Bundesliga level for several years now.

Union have started the season off poorly as they are currently on a seven-game winless run in all competitions having lost at the death in both of their Champions League games, while also sitting 13th in the Bundesliga after losing 4-2 to Borussia Dortmund just before the international break.
