Union Berlin extend kit deal with Adidas until 2030

Union Berlin have announced that they have extended their kit deal with Adidas prematurely with the new deal now expiring in 2030.

The original deal was set to expire in 2025. It is expected the new deal will be worth more money than the previous one, but neither Union or Adidas have disclosed the financial details of the deal. Adidas had originally been shoe providers for Union when they were in the 2. Bundesliga but with their promotion to the Bundesliga in 2019, that changed to them providing the complete kit.

On the new deal, Union president Dirk Zingler said: “Adidas is a strong partner who has accompanied us for many years, The long-term continuation of the cooperation gives us strength as a club – we are proud of this partnership and look forward to the next few years together.”

This season Union are third in the Bundesliga after losing to Bayern Munich 3-0 at the weekend whilst in the cup competitions they are in the Round of 16 in the Europa League having beaten Ajax and they also face Eintracht Frankfurt in the quarter finals of the DFB Pokal.
