Randal Kolo Muani continues to shine

Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani has been a revelation this season. The Frenchman joined the Hessen club on a free transfer from Nantes, and has developed into one of Europe’s most feared forwards.

Per Opta, Kolo Muani (130) has had the most touches in the opposition box in the Bundesliga this season, following by compatriot, Borussia Mönchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram (114). With 19 goal contributions (9 goals, 10 assists) in 18 Bundesliga games this season, Kolo Muani is making a claim for signing of the season.

The 24-year-old’s goal against Darmstadt in the DFB Pokal on Tuesday was reminiscent of a certain Thierry Henry. Coming in from the left flank, electric pace and a placed finish gave Darmstadt’s Marcel Schuhen no chance.

Able to play anywhere across the front three, the former Nantes player isn’t your typical striker. In an article last week, Get German Football News looked at Kolo Muani, who is one of the Bundesliga’s hottest properties. And it’s no surprise that Eintracht Frankfurt’s Markus Krösche would command a significant fee to sell the France international.

With Bayern Munich and Manchester United interested amongst others, the latest figure reported is around €100m and with a contract until 2027, Die Adler have every right to demand such a figure.
