Preview: Borussia Dortmund vs RB Leipzig

Looking to bounce back from their elimination in midweek from the DFB Pokal, Borussia Dortmund will be taking on RB Leipzig in the 5:30 kick off at the Signal Iduna Park.

It was a disappointing night for Dortmund on Wednesday as they suffered a cup defeat to Stuttgart in which they lost 2-0, meaning that they have now been knocked out of the last 16 in the competition for the fifth time in the last seven years.

Since this, Sporting Coordinator Slavan Stanic has been sacked after gaining an unhealthy relationship with first team manager Edin Terzić.

Dortmund had a positive start to the season but are now already starting to slip too far behind top spot in the league table.

They now sit 5th in the league table after gaining just one win in the past five games.

RB Leipzig returned to winning ways against Hoffenheim after suffering back to back defeats against Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga and against Manchester City in the Champions League.

Marco Rose’s side have enjoyed a positive start to the season by winning eight of their 13 Bundesliga matches but they will be looking to improve on their away form as they they have lost four of their last five away from home and now travel to Dortmund who have an impressive home record themselves.
