Predicted Bayern Munich XI vs Hertha Berlin: Thomas Tuchel expected to make wholesale changes

Bayern Munich have the opportunity to return to the top of the Bundesliga on Sunday afternoon when they host relegation threatened Hertha Berlin at the Allianz Arena, kick-off is 15:30 local time.

Thomas Tuchel is expected to make wholesale changes following Bayern Munich’s 3-1 defeat against Mainz last weekend. Alphonso Davies and Dayot Upamecano are both missing with injuries, the latter is out for around two weeks. Expect to see Benjamin Pavard come into a central position with Noussair Mazraoui replacing Davies and Joao Cancelo moving to left-back.

In midfield, Jamal Musiala could play alongside Joshua Kimmich, dropping Leon Goretzka to the bench following a string of poor performances and after taking a knock to his knee. Because of this, expect to see Leroy Sané, Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry all starting.

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting is missing but Tuchel will have Sadio Mané and Mathys Tel on the bench. Only Bochum (67) have conceded more than Hertha Berlin (59) this season, and expect Bayern Munich to exploit Hertha’s weaknesses with the pace of Sané and Coman.
