Official | Hoffenheim sign Kasper Dolberg on loan

Hoffenheim have confirmed Kasper Dolberg will join the team on loan for the rest of the season from OGC Nice in France.

The Danish international had his loan at Sevilla cut short due to a lack of playing time. The 25-year-old played four times in La Liga and four times in the Champions League and was unable to score. Dolberg joined Nice from Ajax in 2019 and has not been able to display the promise that he carried earlier on in his career.

The striker played in all of Denmark’s games at the World Cup as they crashed out at the group stage.

Dolberg will provide additional support for Hoffenheim’s attacking options as Ilhas Bebou and Munas Dabbur have recently come off of injuries whilst the likes of Jacob Bruun Larsen will be sidelined for a while.

Hoffenheim are currently 11th in the Bundesliga and after a strong start to the season they faded out towards the World Cup break only winning one game since early September when they beat Schalke 3-0.
