Official | Aleksandar Pavlovic signs professional contract with Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich have today announced the contract extension of 19-year-old Aleksandar Pavlovic until June 2027. The Munich-born midfielder made his Bundesliga debut against Darmstadt on Saturday in the Rekordmeister’s 8-0 win.

“We’re very happy for Aleksandar Pavlovic, who has celebrated not one but two firsts in the space of just a few days: first his Bundesliga debut, now his first professional contract,” said CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen. “A born-and-bred Munich boy making it into the FC Bayern first team – our fans dream of these stories becoming reality, as do we in the club. His journey should also be an example to our talents that you can get to the top through the Campus.”

Pavlovic, who has made Bayern’s bench in the Bundesliga four times this season, was given his debut by Thomas Tuchel on Saturday replacing Jamal Musiala in the 77th minute.

Signing his first professional contract with the club, Pavlovic has been an integral player for Bayern’s youth teams, representing the U17s all the way up to Bayern Munich II via the U19s. The defensive-midfielder has also represented the U19 side in the UEFA Youth League.

Pavlovic added, via a press release: “I grew up at FC Bayern and am very happy to have now signed my first professional contract. I’ve dreamed of this since I was little. Many thanks to everyone who’s supported me at the FC Bayern Campus. I want to learn in every training session and will keep working hard on myself.”

Bayern Munich currently find themselves two points behind Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen, maintaining a 100 percent record in this season’s Champions League with three wins, while they face 3. Liga side Saarbrücken in the DFB Pokal second round this evening.
