Negotiations between Wolfsburg and Sporting CP for Tiago Tomás continue

After signing Václav Černý, Wolfsburg are working on bringing Tiago Tomás to the club.

Spending last season on loan at Stuttgart, Kicker report that Tomás would like to continue his career in Germany and could imagine playing for Wolfsburg. However, a potential stumbling block when it comes to bringing the Portuguese forward to the club is Sporting CP’s valuation of €15m.

Negotiations between both clubs are still ongoing and Kicker believe that an agreement may be reached for around €6m-€8m with a further €2m in bonuses.

Tomás spent last season on loan at Stuttgart where he played 33 games across all competitions, including the two relegation playoff games, scoring four and creating a further four goals. Stuttgart confirmed earlier this month that they wouldn’t be signing the player on a permanent basis.

Should Wolfsburg reach an agreement to sign Tomás, the forward would become the club’s fourth signing of the summer alongside Černý and defenders Moritz Jens and Cédric Zesiger.
