Manchester United remain interested in Bayern Munich’s Leon Goretzka

Manchester United have long been admirers of Bayern Munich’s Leon Goretzka and remain interested in the midfielder, according to Maximilian Koch

United attempted to secure the German international over two years ago and are aware of the player’s uncertain situation at Bayern. However, the Premier League side are yet to begin talks or make a concrete offer for the 28-year-old.

It was reported early this month that with the arrival of Konrad Laimer, Thomas Tuchel plans to use the Austrian alongside Joshua Kimmich at Bayern Munich. This means that the Bundesliga club would be open to allowing Leon Goretzka to leave the club.

One club that is monitoring the situation of Goretzka is Manchester United despite the arrival of Mason Mount. As well as the Premier League club, Sky suggests that two or three other ‘top clubs’ are also monitoring the German’s situation.

However, the German currently sees his future with Bayern and isn’t aware of any future plans to be sold. Should Bayern receive a tempting offer, however, this could change.
