Mainz have yet to recieve any enquiries for Anton Stach

Bild reports that Mainz are yet to receive any enquiries for midfielder Anton Stach amid rumours from Italy of interest from Atalanta and Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Sky Italia had reported that Stach was attracting interest from Atalanta in Serie A and Borussia Mönchengladbach however, Mainz are yet to receive any form of transfer request from either club, although talks between Stach’s management and the clubs may have taken place.

It has previously been reported that Mainz would be willing to allow Stach to leave the club if they receive the right price.  The 24-year-old wants to play European Football and with a potential fee of €15m needed to lure Stach away from Mainz, making a transfer to Gladbach close to unlikely.

Stach is still a part of Mainz’s plans as the midfielder played 81 minutes in Mainz’s 4-1 loss to Union Berlin on the season’s opening day. If the 24-year-old does leave, then Mainz are already prepared having brought in former Schalke midfielder Tom Krauß permanently earlier in the summer.
