Liverpool remain interested in Ryan Gravenberch

As reported by Sport Bild, Liverpool are still showing interest in Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch.

Jürgen Klopp is considered to be the driving force behind the English sides’ interest as he is an admirer of the Dutchman’s talent. The Liverpool manager is confident that Gravenberch can finally realise his potential in the Premier League.

However, it is down to Bayern as to whether a deal can be made between the two sides, as they are not sure whether they want to allow the 21-year-old to leave. With the departure of Marcel Sabitzer to Borussia Dortmund, space has undoubtedly been freed up in the Bayern midfield.

Nonetheless, with Leon Goretzka and Joshua Kimmich ahead of Gravenberch in the pecking order, the Dutchman now has to contend with new signing Konrad Laimer which means that game time is not guaranteed. Gravenberch only managed 559 minutes in the Bundesliga last term, a fraction of what he will be hoping for this season.

After losing considerable midfield talent so far this summer, Gravenberch would certainly not find himself short of game time at Anfield. Nevertheless, after only joining the Rekordmeister last summer, it would be hard to imagine Bayern allowing the youngster to leave on a permanent basis.
