Leeds United’s Robin Koch could be back playing Bundesliga football this summer, according to Bild.
The German central defender is currently under contract at Leeds until June 2024. However, due to relegation to the Championship this season, there is an exit clause in the player’s contract which can be activated.
The 26-year-old isn’t contempt with playing in the second division so a move away is a high possibility.
As per the report, there has already been interest from teams in the Bundesliga, Premier League, and Serie A. One English club monitoring the situation is Newcastle United. Other than the Magpies, the team in Germany and Italy remain unnamed for the time being.
Koch first moved to Leeds in August 2020 from SC Freiburg for a fee of €13m. The German international has since played 77 competitive matches for Leeds and was a regular during their time in the Premier League.
