Keeping Serhou Guirassy is a priority for Stuttgart

As reported by Sky Germany, Stuttgart want to sign Serhou Guirassy on a permanent basis from Rennes and it remains a top priority but the player’s future at the club is still uncertain.

Guirassy (27) can imagine himself playing for Stuttgart next season should they remain in the Bundesliga and VfB have a purchase option for €9m. However, both parties would need to re-negotiate a new contract in order to finalise the deal as no follow-up contract was negotiated in the summer.

In order to keep Guirassy beyond the summer, per the report, Stuttgart would need to increase the forward’s salary by a significant figure. Talks between both parties have already taken place but are still far apart in terms of finding an agreement.

With interest from other Bundesliga and European clubs, negotiations could become difficult with the Guinea international enjoying an excellent season with nine goals in 19 games for the Swabian club.
