Jude Bellingham to Real Madrid could be finalised next week

Jude Bellingham’s transfer to Real Madrid appears to be nearing its completion. Sport1’s Patrick Berger reports that the deal will be finalised next week, with just the basic fee plus add-ons to be negotiated.

This comes after BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl assumed there will be movement in Bellingham’s future now that their campaign had come to an end.

Borussia Dortmund are expected to receive at least €100m plus bonuses for Bellingham, who was named Bundesliga Player of the Season after another exceptional campaign that saw Die Schwarzgelben miss out of their first Bundesliga title since 2012 by minutes.

Fabrizio Romano also reported that further negotiations between Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid have taken place in the last 24 hours as they look to reach an agreement on the final details.

The fee that BVB will receive will be a significant return on the €20m fee BVB paid Birmingham in 2020 with Bellingham going on to play 132 games in all competitions, scoring 24 and creating 25.
