Jesper Lindstrøm injured after a collision in Eintracht Frankfurt training

According to Bild, Jesper Lindstrøm has been injured in Eintracht Frankfurt training today after a collision with Hrvoje Smolcic.

There are indications that the injury could be a ligament injury after the Danish international tried to get up but had to be carried off by backup goalkeeper Jens Grahl and a supervisor. The 23-year-old was then transferred by mini-van back to Frankfurt’s headquarters.

Lindstrøm seemed to of injured himself in Frankfurt’s 2-2 draw with Wolfsburg at the weekend and a diagnosis was still pending, however, it is unlikely he will play against Stuttgart at the weekend.

The 23-year-old has played 31 times for Frankfurt this season scoring nine and assisting four. The attacking midfielder has been one of Frankfurt’s key players this season along with Randal Kolo Muani and Daichi Kamada.

Frankfurt are currently sixth in the Bundesliga and competing in the quarter-finals of the DFB Pokal while they are also in the round of 16 of the Champions League.
