Houssem Aouar’s move to Eintracht Frankfurt falls through

As reported by Sport1, Eintracht Frankfurt have decided against signing Houssem Aouar (24).

Aouar not only completed his medical check in February but the introductory video for the signing presentation was already made and both parties had a verbal agreement.

However, per the report, Aouar’s brother, who is also the player’s advisor, kept the player’s options open despite all the talks and it’s poker that Eintracht didn’t want to be a part of.

Eintracht Sporting Director Markus Krösche is now expected to pursue further options and although Aouar would have made for an excellent signing and one that the management had been working on since the beginning of the year, Krösche doesn’t see this as a setback in the squad planning.

One player that Eintracht will be without next season is Daichi Kamada. The Hessen club confirmed last week that Kamada (25) would leave the Bundesliga club at the end of the season when his contract expires.
