Hoffenheim in talks with Sevilla over Thomas Delaney

As reported by Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, Hoffenheim are in talks with Sevilla over the signing of Thomas Delaney. The 31-year-old has already said yes to Hoffenheim.

Talks between the two clubs are ongoing and details still have to be clarified between the two, but Sevilla will allow the Danish international to return to the Bundesliga.

Delaney joined Sevilla in 2021 from Borussia Dortmund and has made 47 appearances since then. He has not played for Sevilla since November and has played a bit part role as Sevilla have struggled this season.

Hoffenheim currently have Grischa Prömel out injured for an extended period of time, which means Hoffenheim must rely on Angelo Stiller, Sebastian Rudy and Dennis Geiger, so the signing of Delaney will add much-needed depth in midfield.

They currently sit 13th in the table and have suffered from a poor run of form since a strong start to the season.
