Heidenheim interested in strikers Benedict Hollerbach and Marvin Pieringer

Kicker reports that Heidenheim are interested in Wehen Wiesbaden’s Benedict Hollerbach and Schalke’s Marvin Pieringer as they prepare for their first-ever season in the Bundesliga.

Wiesbaden’s Hollerbach has attracted interest from Heidenheim after his performances in Wiesbaden’s promotion campaign where he scored 14 goals as Wiesbaden beat Arminina Bielefeld in the relegation playoff. Hollerbach had a previous agreement with 1.FC Köln over a transfer, but the club’s transfer ban prevented the move from going through.

The 22-year-old is likely to attract interest from other clubs who have also shown interest. However, if these clubs do step up their pursuit for Hollerbach, Heidenheim may struggle financially to match them.

Another striker that Heidenheim have shown interest in is Schalke’s Marvin Pieringer. The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at Paderborn where he scored 10 and assisted eight.

Pieringer’s contract at Schalke expires in 2024 meaning if they want to make any sort of money off of the striker they will need to sell him this summer, newly promoted Darmstadt are also said to be interested.
